As a Leader In Me school, we believe that every child who enters our doors is a leader. Based on the framework of Franklin Covey, the Leader In Me teaches 21st century leadership skills to our students.  At Towne Point elementary, our students acquire these key principles through learning and practicing Covey’s 7 habits of highly effective people.

Our Instructional Focus

Through a school-wide effort, all Towne Point Elementary students will develop, transfer, and apply critical thinking skills in order to effectively communicate appropriate responses. Student growth will be measured by improved scores on the Smarter Balanced, STAR, AR, DIBELS and curriculum based assessments.

Our Instructional Model

An instructional design model is a framework to develop instructional processes. It helps instructional designers provide structure and meaning to the learning process. It also allows them break down the process of learning into sequential steps. The model provides guidelines to ensure the learning objectives meet the desired expectations.
